The Annual awareness appeal focuses on getting people to have their eyes examined, raises awareness of glaucoma and generates valuable funds for GNZ's ongoing initiatives.
This is an important community health initiative, and we optometrists play an extremely important role in preventing blindness from glaucoma.
As our contribution to this appeal, we will donate $2 to Glaucoma NZ from each eye examination made during July 2019
We make a difference to your eye care, and we can help Glaucoma NZ as well.
OCT to measure Retinal Nerve Fibre Layer thickness; Non-Contact Tonometer to measure intra-ocular pressure; Frequency Doubling Threshold Test to measure the retinal ganglionic nerve fibre communication to the brain.
